Sketches within a sketch today , as Malc and Rev Wilma had no trouble doing a series of dialogues between pairs , lovey, bickering, jealous , inconsiderate (toilet seat!!) , unforgiving , and downright quarrelsome. Nothing new there then , although we were all laughing our heads off at the quick changes of hat, and loss of dignity , It was near the bone sometimes as I realised how much grace we are all given . Paul played a loving God , coming in between in each interaction, the voice of reason, reconciliation and restoration.
I Corinthians 13_here from THE MESSAGE
Love never gives upLove cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

Rev Liz Kitching lead the worship and Christingle making and times for thought ,which threaded their way through the cafe culture as the children played happily and the coffee cups were refilled.
I loved seeing all the Christingle Making and as the lights were dimmed at the end of the morning all the lit christingles shone out .
I'm not forgetting here that Colin and I were at Spring Harvest when "Lord the Light of your love is shining" was sung in public for the very first time as Graham Kendrick taught it to us all in the BIG TOP at Minehead Butlins, now 25 years ago ! So it is always a joy to sing Shine Jesus Shine as its known worldwide.
