A deprived coastal town

For those of us (including myself) who still have doubts, Filey
really is on a list of the six most deprived small seaside towns in the country.
It seems a good percentage of our population don't have to give up things for Lent,
it's part of their every day grinding existence, every day of the year.

I am starting to feel very complacent indeed :

  1. Thanks for pointing out the Defra link to us. It makes easy reading, and the stats are well presented.
39% of jobs in the Service industries of Hotels, B and Bs and Restaurants and Cafes remind all of us to promote Filey as a place worthy of a visit for a day or a Beach Holiday.
We have such a lot to offer here, and I thank God for it.
No sitting on tourism laurels-we need a large Swimming Pool, and a place for School Parties (Visitor and Study Centre) hope you're reading this SBC
