More promises of spring

I took all these photos in and near Filey today.




This last one shows a Black-headed Gull Croicocephalus ridibundus starting to moult into its breeding plumage - another indicator of spring approaching.

  1. Hello Brian. If you walk down the steps from the White Lodge to the Royal Parade, you will see daffodils with buds about 9" tall! Didn't get the opportunity to snap them myself before I left for home.
