So with only one day left until the polls open it's time for the 40% of people yet to decide to make up their minds. Our prayer focus for the week was to pray for the "general election". My thoughts this morning as I thought and prayed were to accept the result, whatever it maybe, as the genuine democratic wish of the British people. For those 60% who have already decided this may be easier said than done!
Whatever the result it does appear that the turnout will be high dismissing real and genuine fear of increasing apathy and disengagement. Given the current state of the opinion polls it looks like a close result making the run on election in Thirsk, Malton and Filey a key national event. Are you prepared for all the battlebuses to roll into town? This could be one of those extremely rare opportunities Filey has to be in the limelight!
